Q : What happens if it rains?
A : The wedding carriage has a roof that can be raised so that the carriage interior stays 100% dry. The wagonette has a covered roof. We also have large umbrella's available at all times to escort the passengers to and from the carriages. We also offer a 100% money back wet weather guarantee should you wish to cancel due to an unfavourable weather forecast. If you provide us with 24 hours notice, then we will refund your payment in full.

Q: How far can the horse travel pulling the carriages?
A : We will allow our horses to pull a carriage for about 10 kilometres (provided that there are no hills to travel up). The limiting factor is usually time, not distance, however, as the horse walks at approx 5km per hour. A distance of up to 5 km to the venue for weddings or formals is usually appropriate.

Q: What if I live too far from the location of the event?
A : We always inspect the proposed route prior to finalising a booking, and will arrange to meet you at a suitable pickup location (usually a park, or other safe, quiet area).

Q :How many people can travel in the carriages?
A : The wedding carriage can seat six adults comfortably inside, with a page boy and/or flower girl next to the driver. The wagonette can seat eight adults inside, with two addirional passengers next to the driver if required.

Q :How much deposit do you need?
A : 10% deposit will confirm your booking, with the balance payable two weeks before the date of the event.

Q :What if I need to cancel my booking?
A :Should you wish to cancel your booking, all monies paid will be refunded in full if at least 6 weeks notice is given. If less than 6 weeks notice is provided, then we reserve the right to retain all monies paid, or a portion thereof , but we may issue a full or partial refund depending on individual circumstances. If you cancel due to an extremely unfavourable weather forecast, then we will refund 100% of monies paid if you provide us with at least 24 hours notice.

Q :What if you need to cancel my booking?
A : In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the booking due to sickness of the horses, or safety concerns due to extreme weather events, then we will refund all monies paid in full. We will also endeavour to arrange alternative transport for weddings e.g. limousine hire, and would discuss this option with you at the time.

Q :Is it easy to get into and out of the wedding carriage in my bridal gown and wedding shoes?
A : It is quite easy to enter and alight from the carriage as there is a step between the carriage and the ground. There is also always a groom on hand to assist you.

Q :Do the carriages have lamps?
A : The wedding carriage has lamps fitted with wedding candles that give quite a spectacular effect for photo's at dusk. The wagonette has battery powered lights.

Q :Can I come and see the horses and carriages before I decide on a booking?
A : Absolutely! We welcome you to come and have a sit in our gorgeous carriages, and to come along and meet "Buddy" and the other horses.

Q :How much time will you allow for my wedding?
A : We will be there for as long as you like. We do need to have the carriage off the road by sunset, but that is our only restriction.

Q :Can I have a horse without a carriage for my wedding?
A : Yes, if the venue is very steep, or otherwise inaccessible or inappropriate for a carriage, then we can supply a horse without the carriage for approximately half the price.

Q :Can I ride the horse at my wedding?
A : Yes, if you are a competent rider, and your wedding dress allows, then you can also have photo's taken of yourself and/or other members of the bridal party riding the horse.

Q :Can my wedding guests also enjoy a carriage ride?
A : Yes, while you are having photo's taken, we are happy to provide rides for your guests, so that your day provides unforgettable memories for not just the bride and groom, but also for each and every wedding guest.
